Junior: Laura qualified for BIG EAST competition and had strong showings in the distance events for the Cardinals where she trimmed 20 seconds off her qualifying time with a lifetime best in the grueling 1650-free. Her regular season highlights included a fourth place finish against West Virginia in the 1000-free . She was in the consols in the Indiana Invitational in the 500-free.
Sophomore: Laura continued to be a consistent contributor in the distance events during the 2007-08 season. She added depth and added scoring power in the 100-free event against Notre Dame and made significant time improvements in her 500-free and 400-IM events at the BIG EAST Championships.
Freshman: As a freshman, Laura Clark swam distance events for the Cardinals, adding depth in many events.
Prep: She joined the aquatic Cardinal roster from Wakeman, Ohio and Firelands High School. She swam to a fourth in the 200-free and to a fifth in the 500-free at the 2006 Ohio State High School Swimming Championships. She was an Academic All-American in 2005, was All-State six times and a three-year team captain. She swam for the successful Lake Erie Silver Dolphins Club for coach Jerry Holtry and brings an strong work ethic in the distance freestyle events. She was recruited by Indiana, Pittsburgh, San Diego State, and TCU.
Personal: She is the daughter of Jeff and Sandy Clark. She is majoring in exercise science. She was born on December 23, 1987.
