Bio
Freshman: After a stellar first season as a Cardinal, Gurevich qualified for the 2017 Swimming World Championships in Budapest, swimming for his home country of Israel. In Budapest, he finished 27th in both the 200-meter fly (1:59.87) and the 400-meter IM (4:22.66). Gurevich also qualified for the NCAA Championships for the Cardinals, finishing 13th in the 400 IM (3:43.27), 26th in the 200 fly (1:43.83), and 35th in the 500 free (4:20.08). At the ACC Championships, he scored 42 points for the team, including posting a fourth place finish in the 400 IM (3:44.76). Additionally, he placed 17th in the 200 fly (1:43.91) and 18th in the 200 IM (1:46.05), Highlights from the from the dual meet season include victories in the 400 IM and 200 fly at the UofL Invitational, as well as a first place finish in the 200 breast against Xavier. Gurevich also competed in the Indianapolis and Mesa Arena Pro Swim Series meets, where he finished fourth in the 400-meter IM (4:23.18) in Mesa and eighth in the 200-meter IM (2:06.93) in Indianapolis.
Prep: Etay Gurevich is an Israeli swimmer and a member of the national team, swimming for Hapoel Jerusalem. He swam in the 2013 European Junior Championship as well as the 2014 and the 2016 European Championships in Berlin. He specializes in butterfly and the individual medley.
