Sophomore: Estefan has shown steady improvement in the sprint events for the Cardinals. His dual meet highlights include a third place finish in the 50-free against Cincinnati with a 21.51 and a sixth place in the 50-free against Xavier, going 21.56. He was fourth in the 100-free versus the Bearcats as well. At the Cardinal Invitational, he was fifth in the 100-free with a 45.21 and 18th in the 50-free with a 21.03. In the meet with ACC rival North Carolina, he finished 8th in the 50 free with a 21.47. Against archrival Kentucky, he was fifth in the 50-free with a 21.28. At the Arena Pro Series in Charlotte, he swam 1:57.16 in the 200-meter freestyle and when 24.87 in the 50-meter free.

Freshman: Estefan came in and helped out in the sprint freestyle races. He swam the 50- and 100-freestyle, improving his times throughout the season. He also added depth to several relays. His best time in the 50-free was against Kentucky, coming in at 21.40. Estefan went a season-best time in the 100-free at the Michigan Invite with a 46.67.

Prep: Estefan Albiero joins the Cardinals from Louisville, Kentucky where he attended Christian Academy of Louisville, and swam for Cardinal Aquatics. Albiero was awarded the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Region 2 Sportsmanship award, and earned an Honorable Mention Academic All- State recognition.
