Bio
Junior: Dunn had another stellar season for the Cardinals, earning a spot at the NCAA Championships as a relay alternate for UofL. At NCAAs, she anchored UofL’s 800 freestyle relay in 1:46.93 that finished 15th overall. Dunn was a three-time finalist at the ACC Championships, finishing 18th in the 200 freestyle (1:47.64), 20th in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.94), and 22nd in the 200 individual medley (2:01.35). She also split 1:46.41 as the anchor on the Cardinals’ fourth-place 800 freestyle relay. During the dual meet season, Dunn was the runner-up in the 200 freestyle against Cincinnati and placed fourth in that event versus Kentucky. For her efforts in the classroom, she was named to the ACC All-Academic Team.
Sophomore: Dunn continued to make a big impact in her second year suiting up for the Cardinals. For the second-straight year, she was selected as a relay alternate for the NCAA Championships before the meet was cancelled. She contributed to the Cardinals’ point total at the ACC Championships after finishing 11th in the 200 freestyle (1:46.77), 19th in the 200 individual medley (1:59.70), and 24th in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.27) while also anchoring UofL’s third-place 800 freestyle relay in 1:46.75. At the Purdue Invitational, she placed fourth in both the 200 freestyle (1:48.46) and 200 breaststroke (2:14.49) as well as fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:00.73). Dunn raced four events at the Toyota U.S. Open and registered three top-8 finishes at the SMU Classic. During the dual meet season, she had 13 top-5 finishes while picking up a win in the 200 individual medley (2:03.76) against Kentucky. For her performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Dunn was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Honor Roll.
Freshman: Dunn made an immediate impact for the Cards with her versality in her freshman season. She was selected as a relay alternate for the NCAA Championships and also was a consolation finalist at the ACC Championships in the 200 free, taking 16th overall to score valuable points for the Cards. Dunn posted a number of personal best times at the IU Invitational, finishing seventh in the 100 free (50.04), ninth in the 200 free (1:46.46) and 11th in the 200 IM (1:58.78). She also competed at the SMU Classic, helping the Cards to a team victory with a seventh place finish in the 400 IM (4:14.95). In the dual meet season, Dunn scored in each of the Cards’ meets, highlighted by second place finishes in the wins over Northwestern and Xavier. Dunn was a member of the Cards’ fifth-place 4x100m free relay at the Phillips 66 National Championships in Stanford, Calif. where she also competed in the 200m IM, finishing with a time of 2:18.99.
Prep: Dunn joins the Cardinals from Austin, Texas, where she swam with Austin Swim Club for head coach Brendan Hansen and was a member of the 2017 World Junior Championships team for the United States. She attended James Bowie High School and swam for coach Chanel Dabrezenski. Dunn earned silver medals in the 200 IM and 100 free at the Texas 6A state meet as both a senior and a sophomore. She was a finalist at the 2017 Speedo Winter Junior National Championships, finishing seventh overall in the 200 free. She also helped Austin Swim Club to a silver medal in the 800 free relay and a bronze medal in the 400 free relay. At the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships, she competed in the 100-meter free, 200-meter free and 200-meter IM. She holds best times of 50.02 in the 100 free, 1:46.56 in the 200 free, 4:47.26 in the 500 free, 1:58.94 in the 200 back, 2:00.00 in the 200 IM and 4:18.81 in the 400 IM.
