2024-25: Che battled injury most of the year but still put together some stellar performances. He won the 1M versus Tennessee (335.40). At Purdue, he was sixth in both the 1M (298.58) and the 3M (319.88). At the Ohio State Invitational, he finished sixth in the 3M with a 327.95. He won the 3M against rival Kentucky with a mark of 351.38. His highlight versus Indiana was a sixth place finish (362.78). He won the 1M versus Cincinnati on Senior Night with a 362.78 but was unable to advance to the Zones or ACCs due to injury.
2023-24: Although Che battled nagging injuries all season, he qualified for the ACC Championships and posted a 230.70 during prelims of the 3M and 223.70 on the 1M board. Against Auburn, he won the 1M (344.03) and was second on the 1M at Kentucky (316.95). Against Tennessee, he posted a 270.00 in the 1M and 328.20 on the 3M. At the House of Champions Invitational, he was fourth in the finals of the 1M (330.45) and fourth on the platform with a 271.50.
2022-23: At NCAA Zone C Championships, Che was 16th in the finals of the 1M (594.00) and was 18th in the 3M (306.25) and 16th on platform (267.50). At ACC Championships, he was 12th on the 1M springboard with a score of 301.35. He made the finals of the 3M, finishing seventh with a score of 335.90 and was ninth on platform after scoring 310.10. He won the 3M at the Louisville First Chance and against Missouri. He won the 1M versus Cincinnati, Kentucky and Xavier.
2021-22: Stephens had a remarkable first season with the Cardinals. With a strong performance at the ACC Championship, Stephens finished 4th in the 1-meter (366.05), 8th in the 10-meter (336.65), and 9th in the 3-meter prelims (314.25). Stephens ended the dual meet season with a first-place finish at Cincinnati in the 10-meter and a fifth-place finish in the 3-meter. Against the Wildcats, Stephens finished 2nd in the 1-meter and 5thin the 3-meter. Stephens finished 7th against Indiana in the 3-meter and 8th at the Purdue Invitational in the 10-meter. A star student, he was named to the ACC Academic Honor and the University of Louisville AD Honor Roll.
Prep: Che came to Louisville from Valparaiso, Ind. He was a USA Junior National Semi-Finalist and a two-time Zone Champion on the 1-meter board.
