Senior: Aulbach continued to contribute strong performances in the sprint events throughout his senior season. At the Louisville First Chance Meet, he finished second in the 100 free with a time of 44.07 and recorded a season-best time of 1:35.82 in the 200 free. He also had a solid showing at the Indiana Invitational with a 13th place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:37.53. During the dual meet season, Aulbach helped the Cards score a number of valuable points as a member of the sprint relay squads.
Junior: As a junior, Aulbach continued to contribute strong performances for the Cardinals in the sprint events. At the ACC Championships, he swam the 50 free (20.45), 100 free (44.70) and 200 free (1:37.59). He also posted solid swims at the Winter National Championships, placing 11th in the 100 free with a time of 44.28 and 23rd in the 50 free with a 20.59. He competed at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Columbus, posting times of 51.23 in the 100-meter free and 23.92 in the 50-meter free. At the Louisville Invitational, Aulbach won the 200 free in a time of 1:37.49, while also taking second in the 50 free (20.76).
Sophomore: Aulbach added depth to the Cardinals’ relay lineups throughout his sophomore season, competing in the sprint relays at multiple dual meets. At the UofL Invitational, he scored 62 points, placing seventh in the 100 free (45.18), eighth in the 200 free (1:40.63), and 10th in the 50 free (20.77). At the Ohio State Winter Invitational, Aulbach helped the Cardinals to a first place finish in the 200 free relay, splitting a 20.42. He also competed at the Atlanta Arena Pro Swim Series, swimming the 50, 100, and 200-meter free.
Freshman: As a freshman, Aulbach was a part of the Cardinal sprint corps as well as an integral member of the Louisville relays. He made the A-finals in both the 100 and 200 free at the UofL Invitational. He swam in both free and medley relays for the Cards.
Prep: Aulbach joined the Cards from Petersburg, Alaska where he swam for Andy Carlisle. He was the Alaska High School State Champion in the 50 and 100 free for 2012, 2013, and 2014. In 2014, he broke the state record in the 100 free (44.90). An Honor Roll student, Aulbach was top 12 in his graduating class. His best times are 44.90 in the 100 free and 21.13 in the 50 free.
