Brentton Ervin begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the University of Louisville. Ervin spent time on the defensive side of the football over the last two seasons under head coach Jeff Brohm.
Ervin came to the Cardinals after working as the outside linebackers coach at Trinity. In his lone season, Ervin led the Shamrocks to a 6A state title and a 12-3 record. The defense finished second in the state in points allowed and were third against the run.
In 2022, Ervin was a graduate assistant at Wingate, helping the program win 11 games and advance to the national quarterfinals for the first time in school history.
Ervin also spent two seasons as a quality control assistant as Eastern Kentucky from 2020-21.
As a player, Ervin played one season at Eastern Kentucky and Kentucky State, where he was selected the Male Freshman Athlete of the Year.
