Senior: Riley continued to add valuable depth for the Cardinal divers in his final year, finishing 13th on the 3-meter (293.40) and 14th on the 1-meter (258.65) at the NC State Wolfpack Invitational. He also dove to fifth on both the 1-meter (272.48) and 3-meter (244.65) in the dual meet against Tennessee and recorded seven additional top-8 finishes throughout the season. For his performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Riley was awarded ACC Honor Roll honors.

Junior: As a junior, Riley put together a strong showing at the IU Invitational, finishing 10th on the platform (195.60), 12th on the 1-meter (240.20) and 14th on the 3-meter (220.10). He recorded his top score of the season on the 1-meter in the meet against Ohio State and Texas A&M, where he tallied a 291.95 for ninth. His top 3-meter score occurred twice throughout the season with a mark of 259.50 in the wins over Tennessee and Virginia.

Sophomore: Riley competed in five meets for the Cardinals during his sophomore campaign. At the Miami Invitational, he took 10th on the 1-meter with a 279.00 and 11th on platform (196.15). His top finish of the year came against Virginia, where he placed third overall on the 1-meter with a season-best score of 288.00. Riley finished fourth on the 3-meter (284.18) against the Cavaliers, which was also a season-best.

Freshman: As a freshman, Sean competed in the ACC Championships, placing 24th in both the 1-meter (262.25) and the 3-meter (276.80), while finishing 26th in the platform (215.20). At the UofL Invitational, he won the 3-meter (299.05) and placed third in the platform (204.20). Other highlights include a second place finish in the 1-meter against Xavier and a third place finish in the 1-meter against Notre Dame.

Prep: Sean Riley came to the Ville from of Pittsford, NY to join the Cardinals diving team. He attended Pittsford Sutherland High School and was coached by Devries Cliff. Riley was a 2015 High School All-American and a senior co-captain of the Pittsford Boys swimming and diving team. He was a NYSPHSAA Section V Champion and a NYSPHSAA State Championships finalist. Academically Riley earned multiple Pittsford Sutherland High School Honor Roll awards, and was a recipient of Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
