In advance of Title IX's 50th anniversary in 2022, the University of Louisville Department of Athletics is advancing our mission of equity and opportunity for our women's sports.





SWIMMING & DIVING (IN PROGRESS)
Ralph Wright Natatorium will undergo a massive renovation and expansion. An upgraded complex will help continue the incredible success this program has sustained over the years. The complex will be fully updated, including the pool, deck and locker rooms.
SOFTBALL
A revamp of the Koetter Center is in store for the softball program. A renovation and expansion of the existing indoor facility will allow this program to train year-round and take the program to the next level.
LACROSSE (IN PROGRESS)
The lacrosse stadium will receive a brand-new score board equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will bring a whole new element to game days. A grand entrance into the stadium will be constructed along with other cosmetic upgrades to the facility.

TENNIS (COMPLETED)
The locker room in the Bass Rudd Tennis Center will undergo a full renovation. The space has not been updated in many years. The current footprint will be reconfigured to better suit a more modern design and all new finishes will be installed. Brand new lockers and a lounge area for the student-athletes will be game changers for this space.
FIELD HOCKEY (COMPLETED)
Trager Stadium will receive a brand-new score board equipped with state-of-the-art technology that will bring a whole new element to game days. Additionally, the current field will be completely replaced with a brand-new turf that will serve the team well for many seasons to come.

GOLF
The on-campus golf facility continues to undergo expansive upgrades. Over the past two years the interior of the space has gotten a complete makeover and is certainly one of the best in the country. The final stage of the facility enhancement will be the exterior of the building.
ROWING
An expansion to the G. Garvin Brown III Rowing Center is needed since the team has grown to over 70 student-athletes. A larger training room, locker room, and team lounge are crucial in providing a providing a quality experience to our student-athletes.
BASKETBALL (COMPLETED)
The women’s basketball locker room at the KFC Yum! Center will be completely redone. The space has not received any upgrades since the arena was opened 10 years ago. This powerhouse team needs to have a locker room just as impressive as their on-court success.
VOLLEYBALL (COMPLETED)
The final pieces of the renovation of L&N Federal Credit Union Arena are a revamp of the team lounge and an updated light system. Installing new energy efficient arena lights over the court will create a better environment for our team’s daily use of the space and a new team lounge will give this squad a space as impressive as their record.
TRACK & FIELD
Cardinal Park's renovation will greatly impact the track and field locker rooms, team area, and training room. With the large number of athletes using the facilities every day, having a bigger and more functional space will optimize the way the team operates on a daily basis.
SOCCER
Upgrades to the already state-of-the-art Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium will include changes to the women’s soccer team room within the training facility as well as cosmetic changes to the interior of the building and locker room space.
SPIRIT (COMPLETED)
Funds will be used to upgrade and optimize training space and equipment. Additionally, to craft and curate new collection of game day fan engagement efforts inclusive of mascot collections.
