Sophomore: Klawiter made an immediate impact in the Cardinals’ distance group during his first season in The Ville. At the ACC Championships, he placed 27th in the mile (15:31.15), 28th in the 500 freestyle (4:23.79), and 34th in the 200 freestyle (1:38.91). He also notched season-best times in the 1000 freestyle and mile at the Louisville Invitational en route to placing third in the latter. Klawiter posted six top-8 finishes throughout the shortened dual meet season, highlighted by a runner-up showing in the 1000 freestyle and a third-place finish in the 500 freestyle against Cincinnati. He also took fifth and sixth in those events, respectively, against Kentucky and sixth and seventh in those races versus Notre Dame.

Prior to UofL: Tyler transferred to Louisville from Utah.
