Louisville Falls to No. 4 Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 42-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team fell to the reigning NCAA champions, Wake Forest, 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.Â
The Demon Deacons (19-2, 6-0 ACC)Â claimed the early advantage by taking courts three then two in doubles competition. Dominick Mosejczuk and Aryan Shah claimed their court by a score of 6-3 while Luca Pow and Charlie Robertson took court two, 6-2.Â
Wake Forest claimed courts three, one then five to seal the victory for the Deacs. Pedro Cressoni was the only Card to earn a first set victory and was up 7-5, 0-2 when the match was called. Freshman Jerald Carroll dropped his first set, but was rallying back 1-6, 6-5 at the end of the match.Â
The Cards (14-7, 3-3 ACC) will return to Louisville for their last homestand of the season. They will take on the California Golden Bears on Friday, March 20 with first serve set for approximately 5 p.m. following the conclusion of the women's tennis team's match against SMU.Â
