February 04, 2026 | Women's Basketball
Both teams are 11-0 in ACC play heading into Thursday’s matchup
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 6 Louisville women's basketball team (21-3, 11-0 ACC) is back at home after a long stretch on the road and an undefeated ACC clash is on deck. The Cardinals welcome the No. 17/22 Duke Blue Devils (16-6, 11-0 ACC) to the KFC Yum! Center on Thursday, February 5. The Cards and Blue Devils will square off at 7 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
The Cardinals 14-game winning streak is the longest active in the ACC and the Blue Devils are right behind with a 13-game winning streak. Both teams have not lost a game since December 4, a span of two full months. Louisville's 11-0 ACC start is the best start in program history since they joined the league in 2014-15. Duke's start to ACC play is its best since the 2012-13 season. This is the first time in ACC history that two teams that are 11-0 or better in conference play will meet. It is just the third time in ACC history that two undefeated conference teams will square off on February 5th or later.
In ACC play the Cardinals have been incredibly balanced, with seven players averaging eight or more points and four players averaging 11 or more points. Since January 1, Louisville has had seven different leading scorers over the past nine games. In conference play for the Blue Devils, they have six players averaging nine points or more and five averaging 10 points or more.
Tajianna Roberts led the way in their most-recent win over Cal this past Sunday. She had team-bests 21 points and five assists with just one turnover against the Golden Bears. It is her team-best fourth 20-point outing of the season. She was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10 List on Tuesday, honoring the best shooting guard in women's college basketball.
Elif Istanbulluoglu had 15 points and a team-best seven rebounds against Cal. In ACC play, she is averaging 11.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game after averaging 2.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in ACC play last season. Laura Ziegler was in double-figures with 14 points, team-best five assists and five rebounds against Cal. She scored in double figures in both of Louisville's wins on its West Coast swing.
