No. 10/11 Cardinals Travel to Georgia Tech

It is the last road game of the regular season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 10/11 Louisville women's basketball team (24-5, 14-2 ACC) is back in action for the final week of the regular season. The Cardinals are hitting the road for the final time in the regular season as they head down to Atlanta to face off with Georgia Tech (12-16, 7-9 ACC) on Thursday, February 26. The Cardinals and Yellow Jackets will square off at 6 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
The Cardinals have had a lot of success on the road this season as they take an 8-0 record into the final road game of the regular season. All of their road games have been in ACC play and with a win on Thursday, Louisville will finish the regular season undefeated on the road for the first time in program history. Louisville is just one of three power conference programs that are currently undefeated on the road this year with UConn (11-0) and UCLA (8-0) being the others. The Cardinals were 10-4 on the road last season and are 87-21 in road games since the 2017-18 season. The 87 wins and .806 winning percentage in road games both rank fifth in the NCAA over that span.
Laura Ziegler continues to play well for the Cardinals over the past month. Over her last seven games, she has averaged 15.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. She has a 2.4 assist/turnover ratio and is shooting 54.7% from the floor over that span. She has scored in double figures in each of the last seven games and tied a season high twice with 22 points against Stanford and Syracuse. In her last game against Virginia, Ziegler led the Cards with 12 rebounds and seven assists to go with 11 points for her team-leading fifth double-double of the season.
The Cardinals have been able to bounce back quickly following a loss during Jeff Walz's tenure as head coach. In his 19 seasons, the Cardinals are 106-26 all-time following a loss. Louisville was 9-1 last season following a loss and they are 4-0 so far this season. The Cardinals took down Syracuse on the road, 84-65, in their most recent game following a loss.

Center. With the win over the Yellow Jackets, the Cards picked up their first victory over a ranked opponent this season. Louisville has won its last six games and its last five games against ACC opponents dating back to December 15. Tajianna Roberts led the charge for the Cards, finishing with 16 points and scoring 12 in the second half. Ja'Leah Williams added 13 points and a team-best seven rebounds.
