Cardinals Finish Eighth at Mason Rudolph Championship

Bailey Burkett finishes tied for 13th overall at 1-over-par
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — The Louisville women's golf team moved up another spot and finished tied for eighth overall at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Cardinals as a team shot 10-over-par 290 to move up into eighth place to conclude the tournament in a field of 16 teams overall.
Bailey Burkett was the top performing individual for the Cardinals as she finished the tournament at 1-over-par 214 and tied for 13th overall. In the final round on Sunday, Burkett had four birdies and was 3-over-par 74 for the day.
Veronika Exposito had the best individual round on Sunday for the Cards as she shot even-par 71 with two birdies. For the tournament, Exposito was 8-over-par 221 and finished tied for 38th overall.
Millie Cottrell had her best round of the weekend on Sunday with a 2-over-par 73. Cottrell finished tied for 54th overall at 12-over-par 225.
Madison Moman was 5-over-par 76 on the day and finished tied for 49th at 11-over-par 224 for the tournament. Thienna Huynh finished the weekend tied for 72nd overall at 17-over-par 231 after a final round 76 on Sunday.
The Cardinals return to campus before they prepare for their next tournament of the fall season. Their next fall tournament will be a week from tomorrow when they travel to Arkansas for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The three-day tournament will begin on Monday, September 29.
