Brown Named to the Sporting News Preseason All-American Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville running back Isaac Brown has been named to The Sporting News 2025 Preseason All-America First Team, adding to his growing list of national accolades as the Cardinals prepare for the upcoming season.
Brown rushed for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns as a true freshman last season and was awarded with the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie and Offensive Rookie of the Year Awards. The native of Miami, Fla., recorded five 100-yard rushing games, including a career high 178 yards in a win over Kentucky to close the season.
Brown earned second team All-ACC honors and was named to numerous freshman All-American teams. He broke the school record for rushing yards by a freshman and was the first true freshman to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.
The rising sophomore has been named to the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Paul Hornung Award and Doak Walker Watch Lists after his record-breaking freshman campaign.
The Cardinals are set to open the season on Aug. 30 against Eastern Kentucky at 3 p.m. on the ACC Network.
