Lubin Named to Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville defensive lineman Clev Lubin was named to the watch list for the Lott IMPACT® Trophy announced on Wednesday.
Lubin was one of 42 players on the list for the award handed out to the top defensive player in the country. The watch list is composed of 17 defensive backs, 16 defensive linemen and nine linebackers.
Established by The Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, The Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, is awarded annually to the nation's top defensive player, who also exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT® on and off the field. IMPACT® is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
Lubin made an immediate impact in his first season with the Cardinals in 2025, starting all 13 games. He earned Third Team All-ACC honors after tallying 8.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss, ranking fourth and seventh in the ACC, respectively.
A Spring 2026 graduate, Lubin posted a 3.31 cumulative GPA while earning his degree in communications. He was a 2025 All-ACC Academic Team selection and on the 2025-26 ACC Honor Roll and Spring 2026 Dean's List.
The Suffern, N.Y., native has also been active in the community since arriving in The Ville, volunteering his time at the holiday pop-up shop, the annual SAAC food drive and multiple visits to local elementary schools.
