Bianco Named to Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Izzy Bianco has been selected to the 2025 Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team in a vote by the league's nine head coaches.

Bianco, a senior from Berlin, New Jersey, is coming off of a solid junior campaign which culminated in National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-West Region honors. The midfielder stood second on the team with 13 points including a career-high five goals and three assists. She is in her third season as a member of the Junior USWNT and was recently named to the 2025 Junior Pan American Games. Last year she helped the Junior Eagles to a Silver Medal at the 2024 Junior Pan American Championship.

Louisville is coming off of a 6-11 campaign in a rebuilding year. The Cardinals return 17 letterwinners from last year's team and welcome six newcomers. After a pair of scrimmages against Bellarmine and Miami (Ohio) this weekend, the 2025 campaign will officially start on August 29 when UofL plays host to Michigan State.
