Cards Open Up Fall Season Under Intense Heat

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team opened its 2025 fall camp under intense heat Wednesday morning at the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex.
Because of high temperatures, the Cardinals moved practice to the morning to avoid the heat in the afternoon.
Opening his third season as head coach of the Cardinals, Jeff Brohm was excited to get his football team on the field for the first time this season.
"We were excited to get underway," head coach Jeff Brohm said. "I know our team has worked really hard to get to this point. I like our football team. I like the make-up of our players. We need to keep our team healthy to get them out there for that first game."
A total of 107 players reported to the start of fall camp and participated in a two-hour practice on Wednesday morning. Thje team takes Thursday off the practice before returning Friday at 9:45 a.m.
Louisville opens the season on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. on the ACC Network.
