
Former Louisville Standouts Named to Women’s Sixes National Teams for 2025 World Games

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse will be well-represented on the international stage with five former standouts named to rosters for the Women's Sixes National Teams for the 2025 World Games.
Kylea Dobson and Nicole Perroni have been named to Lacrosse Canada's roster while Kokoro and Negai Nakazawa will play for Japan and Anna (Kopecka) Lottman will suit up for the Czech Republic in the tournament which will take place August 7-17 in Chengdu, China.
Canada enters the tournament as the reigning gold medalists and will compete in Pool A along with Japan, China and Great Britain. Pool B is comprised of Australia, the Czech Republic, Ireland and the United States. Competition begins on Thursday, August 7. Canada enters the tournament as the reigning gold medalists. Dobson (Oshawa, Ontario) played for the Cardinals from 2021-24. As a senior, she registered a career-high 31 goals and 13 assists, finishing her collegiate career with 69 goals, 24 assists and 93 points. She was also on Canada's Sixes roster for the 2024 Sixes Event in Vancouver.
Perroni played for Louisville from 2020-24. The Whitby, Ontario native was a 2024 IWLCA Second Team All-American. She was a two-time IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region and All-ACC honoree, named to the first team in 2024 and the second team in 2023. She put together a program-record 55-game point scoring streak and a 54-game goal scoring streak, both the longest streaks and finished her career ranked fourth all-time in draw controls (200) and tied the program record for career caused turnovers (107).
Kokoro Nakazawa (Yokohama, Japan) played for the Cards from 2021-24 was previously named to the World Team for Japan at the 2019 Women's U19 Championship. In her senior season at UofL, she led the Cardinals in scoring this season with 61 goals and 21 assists, earning IWLCA West/Midwest Region First Team and All-ACC second team honors. She totaled 105 career goals and ended her collegiate stint on a 24-game goal-scoring streak that dated back to 2023. She stands third in program history in single-season points (82) and tied for seventh in single-season goals (61).
Negai Nakazawa played for the Cardinals from 2023-25 before opting to forego her senior season. The 2022 ACC All-Freshman selection was a three-year starter and tallied 50 goals while dishing out 26 assists for 76 points in her career. She also finished her career with 98 draw controls, leading the team in 2025 and standing second on the team in 2024.
Lottman (formerly Kopecka) played for the Cardinals from 2013-15 following two seasons at George Mason. After being sidelined by injury in 2013, the native of Prague, Czech Republic netted 15 goals and dished out nine assists in her final two seasons. The veteran was first named a member of the national team in 2007 and competed for the Czech Republic in multiple World Games.
