
Cards Add Anna Wise to the 2025-26 Roster

The left-handed pitcher will join Louisville following one year at Ohio University.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team and Head Coach Holly Aprile have announced the addition of left-handed pitcher Anna Wise, coming from one year at Ohio University.
"I am very grateful and excited to start the next step of my softball journey at Louisville," Wise states. "I couldn't see myself being anywhere else or with a different group of people. Go Cards!"
Wise, a rising sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining, was named to the All-MAC Second Team and MAC All-Freshman team during her rookie campaign with the Bobcats.
The Brecksville, Ohio native tallied 10 wins and 10 complete games on the year, posting a 2.86 ERA in 30 appearances. In 122.1 innings, Wise struck out 64 batters and held opponents to a .252 batting average.
On February 26, Wise was named the MAC Pitcher of the Week for her performance at the Low Country Classic. She helped lead the Ohio pitching staff record a 0.00 ERA, only allowing two unearned runs all weekend. Overall, Wise contributed two starts and two wins with one complete game shutout on the week.
Prior to her collegiate career, Wise was a four-year letter winner and team captain at Brecksville High School, earning First-Team All-State honors during her sophomore and junior years.
