LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Adam Buchanan has transferred to the University of Louisville men's golf program, UofL head coach Ryan Blagg announced on Wednesday.
A rising sophomore, Buchanan joins the Cardinals after spending one season at Keiser University, an NAIA program in West Palm Beach, Fla.
"We are really excited to welcome Adam to our team," Blagg said. "He is an incredible player with tons of talent and we can't wait to get him on the course."
A first-team NAIA PING All-American, Buchanan had a standout freshman campaign in his lone season with the Seahawks. He was honored as the 2025 NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award recipient presented by StrackaLine.
A native of Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, Buchanan became fifth player to be named the top freshman in the nation and the second player in school history to be named as a finalist for the Gary Player International Golfer of the Year Award presented by FlightScope.
Buchanan became the fifth Seahawk to win Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors after he won the Sun Conference Championship by posting an 8-under-par 208. It marked the first Freshman of the Year honor for the program since the 2022 campaign.
Appearing in 10 events for the Seahawks, Buchanan recorded five top-10 finishes and posted four in the top five to earn NAIA PING All-South Region accolades and All-Sun Conference honors.
Buchanan, who entered the NAIA Championships ranked 12th nationally, helped the Seahawks finish fourth at the NAIA National Championships with his 21st-place finish.
