Synclair Savage picked up Louisville’s only event victory of the day in the women’s long jump with a mark of 6.46m (21-2.5).
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams opened up their final weekend of the regular season at the Jim Green Invitational on Friday, earning a total of five top-three individual finishes to close the first of two days of competition in Lexington.
The Cards took two of the top three spots in the women's long jump, led by Synclair Savage's winning mark of 6.46m (21-2.5). The mark stands as the second-best wind-legal mark of the redshirt senior's career and comes just one week after she posted a wind-aided leap of 6.61m (21-8.25) at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.

On the men's side of the long jump, Miller Jones notched a third-place finish of his own with a final mark of 7.21m (23-8).
Kiyah Yeast continued her stellar outdoor campaign, posting a time of 23.14 to place third in the women's 200m, just five-hundredths of a second off her program-record time of 23.09 that came last week at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.
In the women's 1500m, Layla Roebke raced to a time of 4:22.07 to finish third in her first action since setting a new Louisville record in the women's 3000m steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational on April 4.
The Cards also found success on the javelin runway, as Gianna Rotelli finished as the runner-up in the women's javelin throw with a mark of 40.62m (133-3) and Ryan Drwal placed fourth in the men's javelin throw after recording a toss of 53.19m (174-6).
