Four Cardinals Selected as CSC Academic All-District

Will Mayew, Hamza El Amine, Miguel Avendaño and Piet Steveker are on the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of Louisville men's tennis had four individuals selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's Tennis team, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday afternoon.

Those Cardinals selected include junior Will Mayew and sophomores Hamza El Amine, Miguel Avendaño and Piet Steveker.

To be nominated, each player had to have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They also had to be in the lineup for 70 percent of UofL's team-scored events.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
