
2025 Outdoor Track & Field Schedule Released

The Cardinals will open their season a week after the indoor season concludes at the USF Alumni Invitational in Tampa, Fla. on Mar. 21-22.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Joe Franklin has announced the outdoor track & field schedule for the 2025 season.
After the conclusion of the indoor season at the NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend, the Cardinals will begin the outdoor campaign with the USF Alumni Invitational set to take place in Tampa, Fla. from Mar. 21-22.
The Cards will then split between three meets for the last weekend of March with the squad set to be represented at the 97th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas from Mar. 26-29, the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas from Mar. 27-29, and the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. from Mar. 27-29.
Following the three-meet split, the Cards will begin April with another split weekend from Apr. 4-5 at the Jim Click Shootout & Multis in Tucson, Ariz., the Jim Vargo Invitational in Louisville, Ky., and the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif.
While the rest of the team takes the next weekend off from competition, the Louisville throwers will head to Ramona, Okla. from Apr. 10-12 to participate in the Oklahoma Throws Series, a USATF sanctioned event that attracts some of the world's best throwers each year.
The Cards will then head out to the West Coast for a pair of meets with half of the team slated to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. from Apr. 16-18 and the other half set for the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. from Apr. 18-19.
Select athletes will then return to Stanford on Apr. 25 for the Payton Jordan Invitational, while the remainder of the team will take part in Louisville's only home meet of the outdoor campaign, as the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational will take place at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park from Apr. 25-26.
The Cardinals will split one final time to close the regular season with part of the team heading to Lexington, Ky. for the Jim Green Invitational from May 2-3 while the Cards will also be represented at the Alumni Muster in College Station, Texas on May 3.
The postseason portion of the schedule will begin with the ACC Outdoor Championships from May 15-17 in Winston-Salem, N.C. After the conclusion of the conference championship meet, athletes who meet qualifying marks will travel to Jacksonville, Fla. for the NCAA East Regionals with the opportunity to qualify for the national championship meet.
Athletes who place in the top 12 in their individual events at the regional meet will then move on to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which are set to be staged at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. from Jun. 11-14.
