Louisville secure its third sweep of the season
LOUISVILLE, KY. -The University of Louisville women's tennis team earned a 7-0 win over Butler Friday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cards now move to 9-5 after today's match.
In doubles action, the duo of Alice Otis and Allie Gretkowski defeated Chase Metcalf and Brook Arington 6-3 on Court 1. The Cards clinched the double point shortly after on Court 3 as the pairing of Germany Davis and Lika Peresypkina defeated Jordan Schildcrout and Emma Beavin 6-2.
In singles play, Elisabeth lila made quick work of Lauren Cook on Court 5, winning 6-3 in both sets. Shortly after, Elena Noguero secured a 6-3, 6-2 victory on Court 3 to give the Cards a three-point advantage in the match. On Court 2, Peresypkina clinched the match for UofL, defeating Norah Balhazor 6-3, 6-4.
The Cardinals continued to play out the match, winning the remaining courts to bring the final score to 7-0 on the afternoon.
Louisville will be going back on the road to South Bend to face Notre Dame at Eck Tennis Pavillion on Sunday, March 23 at noon. Â
