Cardinals Continue ACC Play at Florida State and Miami

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team will travel to the sunshine state this weekend to face conference foes Florida State and Miami. The Cardinals will face the Seminoles on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. and the Hurricanes on Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
UofL is coming off a successful weekend at home, earning wins against Xavier and UAB to improve to 7-4 on the season. Redshirt senior Allie Gretkowski shined at the No. 3 spot over the weekend, earning two dominate singles victories to improve to 6-4 on the year. Louisville was also led by freshman Elisabeth Iila, securing two hard-fought singles wins at the No.5 spot to remain undefeated in singles action at 5-0.

Scouting the Seminoles: Florida State comes into Friday's match undefeated at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center with a 6-0 record on the season. The Seminoles are coming off a close lost last weekend at No.45 Syracuse, falling 4-3 last Sunday. The 73rd ranked duo of Maria Parra Romero and Eva Shaw are 8-0 on the season to lead Florida State, all at the No. 1 spot.
