Cards Set to Begin ACC Action on the Road

Louisville will face No. 33 Clemson and No. 54 Georgia Tech
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team is slated for a weekend of ranked conference match ups as ACC action begins. The Cards will take on No. 33 Clemson on Friday at 3 p.m. and then travel to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech on Sunday at noon.Â
Louisville is entering league action with a 5-6 record and looking to snap a three-match losing streak. Since joining the ACC, the Cards are 4-6 in conference openers, including a 2-2 mark under head coach Rodrigo da Silva.Â
The ACC has proven strong in the latest ITA team rankings with four league teams in the top ten and 13 total teams in the top 60.Â
Cards vs. Clemson (10-1)
Series Record: Louisville leads the series 12-5
Last Meeting: Clemson defeated Louisville 4-0
Scouting the Tigers: Clemson is ranked No. 33 is the most recent ITA team poll with two players ranked in the singles poll: Noa Vukadin (47) and Wissam Abderrahman (90). Vukadn and Maxwell Smith are their lone pair ranked in the doubles poll, coming in at No. 44 with a record of 16-7. The Tigers are heading into ACC action with a 10-1 record with their only loss being against No. 16 Illinois.Â

Last Meeting: Georgia Tech defeated Louisville 4-0
Scouting the Yellow Jackets: Georgia Tech comes in at No. 54 in the most recent ITA team poll and has one ranked singles player Nate Bonetto (104). The Yellow Jackets have two ranked doubles pairings, Bonetto and Gianluca Carlini make up the No. 19 duo while Christophe Clement and Krish Arora come in at No. 33. Georgia Tech is entering their Friday match against Notre Dame with a 7-3 record.Â
