Cardinals Travel to Wake Forest

The Cards have a three-game winning streak heading into Sunday’s matchup
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's basketball team (9-5, 2-1 ACC) was not home for long as it is back on the road for a two-game road swing. That trip begins this weekend as the Cardinals head to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest (7-6, 0-2 ACC). The Cardinals and Demon Deacons will square off at 4 p.m. on Sunday and the matchup will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
Louisville is riding a three-game winning streak after its most recent 74-56 win over Miami on Thursday. The Cardinals put the clamps down on Miami as they held the Hurricanes to a season-low 56 points and 38.5 percent shooting from the field. Heading into the game, Miami was averaging 74.2 points per game and shot 46.5 percent from the floor.
The Cardinals were paced in the win by Jayda Curry, as she scored a season-high 21 points and tied a career high with four made three pointers. Curry has scored in double figures in seven of her 10 games this season and has led the Cards in scoring in each of the last two wins.
Tajianna Roberts (14 points) and Olivia Cochran (13 points) both joined Curry in double figures in the win over the Hurricanes. The pair have scored in double figures in each of the last three games for the Cards. Roberts leads the team with 11 games in double figures this season. Facing her former squad, Ja'Leah Williams had team-bests seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals while she scored eight points.
