Women’s Golf Return to Action at Blessings Collegiate Invitational

The women’s team and men’s team will both be competing at the tournament
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team is back in action this week for the fifth-annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas at the Blessings Golf Club. The three-day golf tournament begins on Monday, September 30 and will run until Wednesday, October 2. Live television coverage will be on GOLF Channel from 3:30-6:30 pm each day. Admission and parking are free.
The unique format includes both the men's and women's programs:
The last time out for the Cardinals was at their home course for the 2024 Cardinal Cup. It was the first time the Cardinals hosted the tournament since September of 2019. The Cards as a team finished tied for fourth overall at 21-over-par 885 for the weekend. It was the lowest team score this season for the Cards.
Individually, Carmen Griffiths finished tied for runner up after shooting a 1-under-par 215 for the tournament. She tallied a 2-under-par 70 in the final round with five birdies on the round. It was her lowest round in a tournament this season. Junior Thienna Huynh joined Griffiths with a top-10 finish as she finished tied for ninth overall at 4-over-par 220.

The unique format includes both the men's and women's programs:
- Men's and women's teams play the same course at the same time.
- Each school will have all five members of its team playing the same holes together. The best four scores each day count toward the team score.
- There will be 18 holes of competition each day with tee times starting at approximately 9 am each day.
- On Wednesday, a men's team, a women's team, an individual male champion, an individual female champion, a combined team champion and combined individual best-ball champions will be crowned.
