SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back home and set to host the Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville Golf Course (Par 72 - 6374 yards) this weekend. It is the first time the Cardinals have hosted this event since the fall of 2019.

The Cardinals are coming off their first tournament of the fall this past weekend at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational down the road in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The Cardinals finished fourth overall out of a field of 11 and had four golfers finish in the Top-20.
Louisville was led by junior Thienna Huynh in her first tournament with the Cardinals after transferring from UNLV. She finished 10th overall with a 4-over-par 220 for the tournament. Her best round came in the opening round when she shot a 1-under-par 71, tying for the lowest 18-hole score for the Cards in the tournament.
Carmen Griffiths finished one stroke behind Huynh with a 5-over-par 221 over the weekend and was tied for 14th overall. She also tied for the lowest 18-hole score with her 71 in the final round on Tuesday. Millie Cottrell and Bailey Burkett both finished tied for 18th overall after shooting 8-over-par 224.
