Women’s Basketball to Face South Florida at WBCA Showcase

The Cardinals and Bulls will square off at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
ATLANTA — The 2024-25 non-conference schedule continues to take shape for the Louisville women's basketball team as another matchup was announced on Thursday. Louisville will travel to the sunshine state to take on South Florida as part of the WBCA Showcase the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Cardinals and Bulls will face off as part of a double-header on Sunday, November 24 at 1 p.m. ET from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.
This is the fourth confirmed date and fifth confirmed opponent for the Cardinals and their non-conference schedule. Louisville opens the season in Paris on November 4 against UCLA in the Aflac Oui-Play, the Cards host Oklahoma from the KFC Yum! Center on December 4 in the SEC/ACC Challenge and they will travel to Brooklyn to take on UConn in the Barclays Center as part of the Women's Champions Classic on December 7. Louisville will also have its annual Battle of the Bluegrass against Kentucky, the date to be announced at a later time.
This will be the 34th all-time meeting between Louisville and South Florida as the two teams have faced each other as members of the Metro Conference, Conference USA, BIG EAST, and The American. The Cardinals hold a 29-4 all-time advantage and have won each of the last six matchups. This will be the first time the two teams have met since 2017 when they faced off in Tampa and the Cards came away with a 66-52 win in the Top-25 matchup. This will be the first neutral site meeting since 2014 when the two teams squared off in the American Conference Semifinals in Uncasville, Connecticut.
