The teams will split between the Bryan Clay Invitational and Beach Invitational in the Los Angeles area of California.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set to continue the outdoor season by competing in a pair of meets in California from Apr. 11-13.
The Cardinals will be represented at the Bryan Clay Invitational, which will take place from Thursday through Saturday, and the Beach Invitational, which will be contested on Friday and Saturday.
The weekend will begin for the Cards on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET with the start of the men's decathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Tomorrow's events will also see Louisville athletes compete in the 3000m steeplechase and 10000m, along with the decathlon and heptathlon.
Last weekend, the Cardinals collected seven event victories and 22 top-five individual finishes at the Jim Vargo Invitational, while seeing six athletes set new personal-bests and 12 athletes make their outdoor debuts.
Thus far on the young season, Louisville athletes hold six marks that stand within the top-20 nationally, while Brion Stephens (men's high jump) and Jayden Ulrich (women's shot put and discus throw) have both automatically qualified for June's USA Olympic Trials.
