
Cardinals Set to Host Seventh Annual Moon Golf Invitational

The Tournament will be held at the Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of women's golf team is heading to the sunshine state as it prepares for the annual Moon Golf Invitational. In its seventh year, the Moon Golf Invitational will be held at the Par-72, 6,503-yard Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida.
The Cardinals will be one of 17 teams competing in the tournament with all 17 teams ranked inside the Top-75 in the most recent Scoreboard by Clipp'd rankings. 12 of the 17 teams are ranked in the Top-25, including four Top-10 teams in No. 1 Florida, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 9 Florida and No. 10 LSU.
This will be the second tournament of the spring season for the Cardinals as they were in Mexico to begin February at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club. The Cardinals finished 10th overall and were led by Carmen Griffiths, who carded another Top-10 finish. Griffiths finished tied for ninth overall with a 7-over-par 223 for the 54-hole tournament.
The tournament will begin on Sunday with the first round and conclude with the final round on Tuesday. Each day, tee times will begin at 8 a.m. ET and players will start on either the first or 10th hole.
