No. 18 Cardinals Head to Boston for Midweek Clash

This will be the second of two meetings between Louisville and Boston College in the regular season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 18 Louisville women's basketball team (20-5, 9-3 ACC) is shipping up to Boston to take on Boston College (11-15, 3-10 ACC) Thursday night from Conte Forum. This will be the second of two matchups for the Cardinals and Eagles during the regular season. They first met on Jan. 25 at the KFC Yum! Center and Louisville came away with an 88-60 victory. Thursday's matchup between the two teams will tip off at 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
Nyla Harris has been on a tear as of late for the Cardinals in her second season with the squad. She has tallied a double-double in three of her last four games and set a career high in scoring in each of her last two. She has stepped her game up against ranked opponents in conference play. In the six games this season against ranked ACC teams, Harris has a team-best 16.2 points per game, 9.2 rebounds per game and is shooting a team-best .649 percent from the field. In all conference games this season, Harris has scored 11.9 points, hauled in 7.2 rebounds and shot a team-best .606 percent from the field.
Kiki Jefferson continues to be a top scoring option for the Cards this season. She leads the team with 13.3 points per game and has a team best 19 double figure scoring games. Jefferson has scored 10 or more points in each of her last six games and in 18 of her last 20 games. Jefferson has scored eight or more points in 24 of 25 games this season. In the first matchup with the Eagles, Jefferson scored a season-high 27 points. The 27 points are the most by a Louisville player in a game this season.
The Cardinals have been a strong team coming off of a loss during head coach Jeff Walz's 17-year tenure as coach. Louisville is 89-24 all-time following a loss under Walz and they are even better coming off a loss against an ACC opponent. Louisville is 23-3 following a loss against an ACC team and they have only lost back-to-back ACC games three times over the past 10 seasons. Jefferson's 27 points are the most by a Cardinal this season. Elif Istanbulluoglu recorded a career-high 11 points and four rebounds on 5-for-8 shooting, and Olivia Cochran rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, seven rebounds, an assist, and a block. Both Nina Rickards and Nyla Harris did a little bit of everything, with the former tallying six points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal and the latter totaling seven points, six rebounds, an assist, and three steals.
