Cards Add 15 To the 2025 Signing Day Class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Highlighted by a pair of four-star recruits, University of Louisville head football coach Jeff Brohm welcomed his third signing class to Louisville on Wednesday, as the Cardinals introduced 15 signees on National Signing Day.Â
Louisville inked five athletes from the state of Kentucky, five from Florida and three from Alabama.
The Cardinals signed four defensive linemen, two wide receivers, offensive linemen and linebackers.
Defensive lineman C.J. May is the top performer in the class. A 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive lineman from Highland Home, Ala., May is tabbed the No. 18 player in the state of Alabama. A two-time All-State honoree, May was a Lemming Report All-American and was selected an Army All-American.
Tight end Grant Houser is another highly ranked signee from Wapakoneta, Ohio. Houser is ranked as the No. 18 tight end and the No. 12 player in Ohio by On3. He led Wapakoneta to a 12-1 record and the second round of the Division III playoffs.
Running back Jamarice Wilder is a highly-touted signee from Venice, Fla. The 5-foot-9 speedster had seven 100-yard games in 2024, including a 314-yard performance against Miami Northwestern. He averaged 10.0 yards per carry this season, while running for 1,274 yards and 24 touchdowns as he leads Venice into the state semifinals. As a junior, Wilder rushed for 1,609 yards and 25 scores.
Wide receiver Kamarie Williams recorded 726 yards and seven touchdown on 38 receptions. He had committed to Arkansas before flipping to the Cards on signing day.
The Cardinals landed another prolific passer in this class with the addition of quarterback Mason Mims from Oxford, Ala. He finished third in the state of Alabama with 3,315 passing yards and 37 touchdown passes, while completing a remarkable 71.4 percent of his passes.
The Cardinals added five players from the state of Kentucky in cornerback Antonio Harris, safety Micah Rice, offensive lineman Anthony Gradey, defensive lineman Dillon Smith and wide receiver Brock Coffman.Â
Harris, whose father Nate played for the Cardinals from 2005-06, played multiple positions to help Male to a 9-3 record. He rushed for 351 yards and five touchdowns, while also leading the team with 23 receptions for 574 yards and nine touchdowns.Â
Rice, who transferred to North Oldham from Archbishop Moeller, finished with 46 tackles in six games at North Oldham. While at Moeller as a junior, Rice finished with 54 tackles, 1.5 sacks and seven pass break-ups.Â
Anthony was ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in the Bluegrass State. He helped anchor North Oldham to a 9-3 record and guided an offense that gained 4,089 yards of total offense.
Smith led Ryle to an appearance in the state title game after recording 52 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.Â
Coffman caught 89 passes for 1,387 yards and led the state with 24 receiving touchdowns to help Sayre to a 14-0 record and an appearance in the state title game.
The Cardinals were able to hold onto defensive lineman Eric Hazzard from Franklin, Tenn. Hazzard was a finalist for Mr. Football in the state of Tennessee. He recorded 63 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks as Fred Page advanced to the state semifinals.
Linebackers Caleb Matelau and Cameron White are a pair of Sunshine State signees. Matelau transferred to Manatee for his senior season where he guided his squad to a 10-1 record and an appearance in the state title game. In 12 games, White recorded 84 tackles, 6.0 sacks and 9.0 tackles for loss for Armwood.
Bailey Abercrombie was the last signee of the day. The 295-pound defensive tackle had 79 tackles, 27 tackles for loss and and 11 sacks for Moody High in Moody, Ala.Â
