Women’s Golf Heads South for The Robbie

This is the final tournament of the fall for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back out on the course for the final time in the fall season this weekend. They are heading down to Alabama to take part in The Robbie Tournament that is hosted by Lipscomb. The tournament is being held at the Highlands Course at Hampton Cove, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. It is a three-day event that begins on Friday and concludes on Sunday.
All seven Louisville golfers will compete this weekend to conclude the fall season. After this weekend, they will all have competed in at least four of the five tournaments this fall.
Beatriz Barrios, Millie Cottrell, Carmen Griffiths and Thienna Huynh have competed in every tournament this fall and the four of them will be in the lineup for the Cards this weekend.
Barrios' best tournament came at The Blessings down in Arkansas as she finished a team-best tied for 13th overall. She has finished in the Top-30 in three of the four tournaments this fall.
Cottrell's best tournament was at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational where she finished tied for 18th overall at 8-over-par for the tournament. She has two Top-30 finishes this fall.
Griffiths has the best overall finish from any Louisville player this fall when she was tied for second at the Cardinal Cup. Griffiths has finished inside the Top-30 in all four tournaments this fall.
Huynh's best finish also came at the Cardinal Cup where she placed tied for ninth overall. She has two Top-10 finishes this fall at the Cardinal Cup and Bettie Lou Evans Invitational.
Rounding out the lineup this weekend is freshman Veronika Exposito. She has competed in three tournaments this fall and her best finish came in the most recent tournament in Chapel Hill. Exposito finished a team-best tied for 26th at the Tar Heel Invitational.
The two individuals competing for the Cards this weekend are Gabbi Bentatncourt and Bailey Burkett. They have both played in three of the four tournaments this fall.
The first round will get underway at 9:30 a.m. ET for the Cardinals as they will all begin on Hole No. 1. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or can stay tuned to our social media channels.
