July 24, 2023 | Men's Golf
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Coming off a third-straight NCAA regional appearance, University of Louisville's men's golf head coach Ryan Blagg begins his fourth season with a challenging 2023-24 slate.
The schedule includes four tournaments in the fall and six in spring, followed by the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship in Durham, N.C., on April 19-22.
Blagg, who has guided the Cards to three consecutive regional appearances, opens the fall with the Valero Texas Collegiate in San Antonio, Texas on Sept. 9-11, which will be Louisville's first appearance in that tournament.
Following the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sept. 18-19, Louisville heads to the Rod Meyer Invitational in Durham, N.C., on Sept. 24-25 and plays at the Notre Dame Invitational on Oct. 1-2.
The fall concludes with the Williams Cup in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 9-10.
Action resumes for the Cardinals on Jan. 30-31 as they head South to Ponte Verda Beach, Fla. for the Sea Best Invitational. Following a few weeks off, UofL will travel to LaQuinta, Calif. for The Prestige on Feb. 20-22.
After another extended break, the Cardinals will make their second trip of the year to Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., for The Hayt on March 9-11. Louisville heads to Myrtle Beach, S.C., on March 19-20 for the General Hackler.
UofL will conclude regular season play for the third-straight year at The Aggie in College Station, Texas on April 6-7. Blagg picked up his first tournament win as a head coach and senior Max Kennedy also earned his first collegiate victory in that same tournament.
As a team, the Cardinals return three of their five starters in Max Kennedy, Sebastian Moss and Mads Roddik. Kennedy earned All-ACC honors after posting the fifth-best season stroke average in school history. He closed the year with seven top-10 finishes on the year, which included that win at the Aggie.Â
