Lacrosse Set to Host First Round of ACC Championships

UofL hosts Duke on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse program will host the first round of the ACC Championships on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET against Duke. The Cards finished as the No. 8 seed, while Duke ended the regular season as the ninth.
The winner of the matchup will advance to the ACC Quarterfinals round in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday, April 23.
The Cardinals faced Duke on Saturday, capturing a senior day win over the Blue Devils 14-13. The team was led by a stellar performance from junior goalie Sara Addeche. Addeche recorded a career-high 17 saves, 11 of which came in the second half. This 17 saves ties the program record for most saves in a game. The only other Cardinal to record 17 saves in a game was Rachel Florek in 2020.
Nicole Perroni led the offense with a team-high six points, with a season-high five goals and one assist. Perroni extended her goal-scoring streak and point-scoring streak to 34, tying the program record for goal-scoring streak held by Emily Dashiell (May 1, 2009-April 29, 2011). The senior recorded three ground balls, six draw controls, and two caused turnovers.
