All six singles courts go to third sets in Louisville’s 4-0 loss at No. 17 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 29-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 17 Florida State in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Friday afternoon at Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.

Louisville (10-6, 1-4 ACC) will continue its ACC road swing with a match at No. 58 Miami Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Seminoles (11-5, 3-2) took the doubles point to start the match. On court three, the FSU duo of Maks Silagy and Barnaby Smith defeated David Mizrahi and Will Mayew 6-3. At the two-spot, Louisville's 68^th-ranked Sergio Hernandez and Etienne Donnet battled with Florida State's Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif before the Seminole tandem prevailed 7-5 to clinch the point.

The team played through two weather delays in singles with all six courts going to three sets. Florida State emerged as the winning on court five as Andreja Petrovic beat Louisville freshman Andre' Steinbach 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. At No. 4, Mizrahi rebounded from a 6-1 first set loss to Dous-Karpenschif, winning the second set 6-0, but was outlasted 7-5 in the third set to put the Seminoles' lead to 3-0. \

The match was decided on court one where Louisville's No. 36-ranked Etienne Donnet earned a 7-5 win over fourth-ranked Cornut-Chauvinc, but lost 6-4, 6-4 in the final to sets.

The remaining courts were in their third sets with No. 60-ranked Natan Rodrigues leading 2-0 and Sergio Hernandez tied at 3-3 when the match ended.
