Kennedy and Moss Post Top 10-Finishes at the General Hackler Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Max Kennedy and Sebastian Moss each posted top-10 finishes to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team at the General Hackler Championship Tuesday at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Collectively, the Cardinals tied for fourth overall with Kent State after both teams concluded the two-day tournament at 14-under-par. The Cards shot 279-282-289=850. After shooting a 1-over-par on Tuesday, the Cards were able to register their third top-four finish on the season. East Tennessee State won the tournament with fellow Atlantic Coast Conference Virginia finishing in third place.
Kennedy posted his third consecutive top-10 finish this season by closing in a tie for fourth place after closing just four shots off the lead. East Tennessee State's Mats Ege and Virginia's Ben James tied for the tournament lead at 13-under. Kennedy finished at 9-under-par over the two-day event after shooting an even-par 72. The junior carded four birdies on Tuesday, including birdies on No. 15 and No. 16.
Moss recorded his third top-10 finish by ending the championship at 8-under-par. Moss shot 68-67-73=208. The sophomore's rounds of 208 was the best of his career and the third time he shot under-par during his first two seasons.
Entering his final round at 2-over-par, Jiri Zuska fired a final round 70 to tie for 17th. The senior closed the tournament carded rounds of 70-74-70=214 to shoot 2-under-par over the two days. He registered three birdies and notched an eagle on No. 15.
Mads Roddick tied for 62nd place after shooting an 8-over-par 224 after firing rounds of 72-75-77=224, while Pierce Grieve tied for 64th place after carding rounds of 74-77-74=225.
The Cardinals return to action on March 20-21 at the All-American in Houston, Texas.
