Gillotte and Jordan Earn Honorable Mention All-American Accolades

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville defensive lineman Ashton Gillotte and running back Jawhar Jordan were named All-American honorable mention by Phil Steele, the outlet announced on Thursday.Â
A first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree, Gillotte enters the postseason ranked eighth nationally in sacks with 11.0, which is tied for ninth on the school's single-season list.  The Boca Raton native started all 13 games, recording a career best 45 tackles and 14.5 tackles for loss on a defense that ranked 16th nationally.
A junior, Gillotte recorded a career best 3.0 sacks in a win over Boston College and a pair against Duke in a 23-0 shutout victory over the Blue Devils.
Gillotte has been credited with 22.0 career sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss in 37 career games for the Cardinals.
Jordan, a first team All-ACC performer, rushed for 1,128 yards and 14 touchdowns this season for the Cardinals. The junior, who chose not to play in the bowl game, recorded five 100-yard rushing games, including a career best 163 yards in a win over nationally ranked Duke. He also totaled 143 yards and a pair of scores in a victory over No. 10 Notre Dame.
Louisville continues its season on Dec. 27 versus USC in the 2023 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Calif.
