Cards Fall to Ball State

Louisville edged 4-3
LOUISVILLE, Ky. --Â The University of Louisville women's tennis team lost to Ball State 4-3 in the first match of the doubleheader on Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.Â
The Cardinals dropped the doubles point to start the singles competition down 1-0. BSU took the No. 2 and No. 4 positions to go up 3-0.Â
The Cardinals battled back as Cici Xin scored Louisville's first singles point with a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) win over Annika Pianinsek. Louisville's Andrea Di Palma scored next with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win against Ball State's Emma Peeler. Louisville's third and final point was scored by Tatiana Simova in a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 comeback win.Â
 This match was the first of a double header today, as the Cardinals will face Eastern Kentucky at 5 p.m.
