
Griffin Earns All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The ACC Office released the annual All-ACC awards for women's golf on Thursday with University of Louisville women's golfer Kendall Griffin earning honors.
A transfer from LSU., Griffin has been the Cardinals' top golfer in her lone season with the program. In last week's ACC Championship, Griffin finished third at the championship after shooting a 1-under-par 215. The LSU. She owns four top-five finishes and has posted the top stroke average on the team at 72.81.
The native of Sebring, Fla., posted three consecutive top-four finishes by placing second at the Illini Invitational, fourth at the Olde Stone Intercollegiate and second at the Moon Golf Invitational.
Louisville was selected as the No. 7 seed in the Albuquerque Regional at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Wednesday.
The Cardinals were picked for postseason play for the eighth consecutive season and 14th time in program history after they were announced as one of 12 teams to compete in the regional. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played May 9-11 and the top four teams of each region will advance to the National Championship. The top two individuals that are not on an advancing team will also punch their tickets to the National Championship, which will be held May 20-25 in Tempe, Arizona, hosted by Arizona State.
