Cardinals Host Xavier on Friday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team returns to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center this Friday, when the Cardinals host Xavier in a non-conference match at noon. Admission is free for fans and the first 20 fans will receive a t-shirt.
Louisville (7-6, 0-5 ACC) is looking to snap a five-match losing skid heading into Friday's match. The Cardinals are coming off a two-match road trip that resulted in a 5-2 loss at Georgia Tech on Friday and a 7-0 loss at Clemson on Sunday. Tatiana Simova and Tyra Richardson each recorded a win in singles against the Yellow Jackets. Louisville's seven wins this season have all come at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Mark Beckham is in his 13th season at the helm.
Xavier (6-6) is coming off a 6-1 loss to No. 4 Ohio State on Mar. 12. Imani Graham and Anna Smith each have six wins in singles to lead Xavier and Kat Lyman has won her last three singles matches. The duo of Graham and Anna Roggenburk have recorded a 4-1 record in doubles play through 12 matches. Head coach Doug Matthews is in his seventh season leading Xavier.
