LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball program had five student-athletes named to the 2021 All-ACC Academic Baseball Team announced by the league on Thursday.
Alex Binelas, Kaleb Corbett, Henry Davis, Lucas Dunn and Luke Seed were all recognized for their work in the classroom. It marks the second All-ACC Academic Team nod for both Binelas and Dunn, who were also on the team in 2019.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season were also considered in selection the All-ACC Academic Team.
The five selections continues a run of academic success that saw the Cardinals extend their streak of consecutive semesters with a 3.0 grade point average to 20 straight after posting a 3.34 during the spring semester.
The span of 20 straight semesters with a team GPA of 3.0 or better coincides with unparalleled success on the field for Louisville, which has four College World Series appearances, six NCAA Super Regional berths, eight NCAA Regional bids and seven conference championships during that time.
