EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Louisville track and field program completed competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday evening at Hayward Field.

The sophomore from Givatayim, Israel, concludes an impressive 2021 campaign in which earned his second career appearance in the NCAA Championships after placing eighth at the NCAA East Preliminary Round with a season-best throw of 57.63m (189-1). He finished sixth in the ACC championship to earn all-conference second team honors.
In the high jump, redshirt freshman Trey Allen was unable to clear the opening bar of 2.10m (6-10.75). In his first collegiate outdoor season, the Birmingham, Ala., native advanced to the NCAA Outdoor championship after achieving a career-best height of 2.19m (7-2.25) in the East Prelims The mark matched a facility record and placed him tied for sixth in the event. Allen was also an All-ACC second team performer after a fourth place finish in the conference championship.
"Today simply didn't go as we had hoped here in Eugene," said UofL head coach Dale Cowper. "I'm proud of Trey Allen for being the only freshman in the NCAA to advance to the high jump final and strongly believe this can be a huge motivational point for Adar Sheere to focus on building his base throw to a level that will advance into a scoring position in the future."
