Louisville Falls at Notre Dame

Louisville, Ky. -- The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell at Notre Dame 4-0 Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 8-8 (2-6, ACC) while the Irish improve to 10-8 (4-4, ACC) on the season.
Notre Dame jumped out to an early 1-0, taking the doubles point with Matthew Che and Richard Ciamarra defeating Alex Wesbrooks and Kyle Tang 6-0 on court three. Shortly after, court one finished with Fabien Salle and Matthew Fung falling to Tristan McCormick and Axel Nefve 6-1.
The Irish kept their momentum going in singles, winning three straight courts to clinch the match. On court two, Ciamarra flew past Salle 6-1, 6-0.
Connor Fu defeated Fung 6-1, 6-1 on court five. David Mizrahi stumbled 6-2, 6-3 on court six to William Howells.
Courts one, three, and four we left unfinished. At the time the matches were abandoned, Sergio Hernandez was winning 6-1, 5-5 on court three against McCormick.
Up Next: The Cardinals will look to bounce back next week when they welcome Clemson to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Friday at 5 p.m.
