
Dana Evans Named WBCA Region Finalist

ATLANTA (March 24, 2021) — The Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced today that University of Louisville women's basketball senior guard Dana Evans is a region finalist for 2021 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America.
Last season, Evans was one of 10 players selected to the 2020 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team. She was just the third Louisville player to earn WBCA Coaches' All-American team honors, the others being Angel McCoughtry in 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 and Asia Durr in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
The selection committee will choose the 10-member Coaches' All-America team from these 52 finalists. The 2021 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team will be announced Saturday, April 3.

WBCA member head coaches may nominate players from their own teams for Coaches' All-America. They then vote for the top eight players in their respective regions from among those players who are nominated. The selection committee, which is composed of head coaches from each region who are elected by their peers, may select up to 12 additional at-large finalists from the remaining pool of nominees.
