
Payton Verhulst Named Naismith High School All-American

Verhulst was listed on the All-America Second Team, which places her among the top 10 high school players in the country.
ATLANTA – The Atlanta Tipoff Club announced that University of Louisville women's basketball signee Payton Verhulst has been named a 2021 Jersey Mike's Naismith National High School All-American.
Verhulst was listed on the All-America Second Team, which places her among the top 10 high school players in the country. Earlier this season, she was named a McDonald's All-American.
Verhulst attends Bishop Miege High School in De Soto, Kan., and was the state's Gatorade Player of the Year last season. She is listed as the No. 12 player nationally by ESPN and is ranked No. 10 by ProspectsNation.
A member of the 2019 USA Basketball Women's U16 National Team, Verhulst collected MVP honors after starting all six games and finishing with 14.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game to lead them to a gold medal. As a junior, Verhulst averaged 17.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.5 steals per game for Bishop Miege.
