Cardinals Set to Host Tennis Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team is returning home to host the Louisville Tennis Classic this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The tournament, which will be a hidden dual, is slated to take place indoors on Oct. 29-31 and will feature four teams including Louisville, Ball State, DePaul, and Middle Tennessee. Admission is free.
Louisville's double pairing of Rhea Verma and Andrea Di Palma is coming off an appearance in the semifinals at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals this past weekend. The Cardinals have completed in the Purdue Invitational, All-American and WVU Invite this fall season.
Middle Tennessee, the host of the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, is coming off four consecutive victories in the singles consolation round. The Blue Raiders also won two of their three doubles consolation matches at ITA Regionals.
Ball State, who also competed at the ITA Ohio Valley regionals, will look to build off their strong showing in that tournament. The Cardinals recorded a doubles victory and had five different players win their respective matches in singles.
DePaul is coming off an appearance at the ITA Super Regionals, where they split their doubles matches against Illinois.
